Alexandra Freedman: Ottawa Centre

Alexandra (Ally) Freedman is a sixth-generation young Metis woman with roots dating back to 1812 in Red River (Manitoba); present day Winnipeg. A third-year student at Ottawa's Carleton University, she is a passionate defender of Indigenous rights and equality for all peoples.

Ally has continued her FSWEP duties part-time at Agriculture Canada and also serves as a Carleton University mentor to Indigenous students at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board's Urban Aboriginal High School program.
