It’s been a busy summer at Equal Voice as we prepare to officially launch Daughters of the Vote this October.
Our first two events will be hosted at provincial legislatures in British Columbia and Saskatchewan in early October to recognize and celebrate women in politics.
These events are part of a series of 13 provincial and territorial forums that will be convened to welcome young women selected to participate in Daughters of the Vote, prior to the national event in Ottawa on March 7th and 8th 2017.
In less than a month, fourteen young women selected for EV’s Daughters of the Vote program will be attending a special event at the Saskatchewan legislature. Up to 42 of the young women selected for the Daughters program in British Columbia will be participating in an historic event at the legislature in Victoria on October 3rd.
Adjudication teams in these two provinces are now hard at work reviewing hundreds of impressive applications from dynamic young women.
Clearly, there will be some difficult decisions to make as we select the 338 amazing individuals, one for every federal riding in Canada, for both regional events and the national program in Ottawa.
