What should I bring/wear while I’m in Ottawa?

A:

The hotel provides basic amenities such as shampoo, soap, tea/coffee and a hair dryer. Other personal items, such as feminine hygiene products, should be brought.

First Aid Kits will be available at the event site and at the hotel. There is a pharmacy a five minute walk away from the hotel, but prescription medications should be brought.

A form of government issued identification will be required for your travel. It’s also a good idea to bring your health card in case of emergency.

If you’re bringing any electronics, make sure to bring the appropriate chargers.

Weather in Ottawa can be somewhat unpredictable. As such comfortable, dry and warm boots, winter wear and umbrellas are recommended. There are washer/dryer machines on site for those that might need to wash their clothes during their stay.

Delegates will want to bring business attire and sufficient clothing for the duration of the event. For any delegates that might not have business or more formal attire, EV will make such attire available, upon request.

Other items that are not required but may be a good idea to bring include:

  • Reusable water bottle
  • Journal
  • Carry-on bag with a change of clothing
  • Snacks for traveling and in between meals
  • Eye masks & earplugs
