Ashley is a recent graduate of the University of Calgary, where she majored in political science and minored in communications. During her undergrad she spent a semester studying abroad in both Sweden and Singapore, and did a four month global health and development internship in with the Mama na Mtoto initiative in Tanzania. She is now working full time with Mama na Mtoto (‘mother and child’ in Swahili), and is based out of the University of Calgary. Growing up in Olds, Alberta, Ashley has maintained strong ties to her roots and continues to be active in her community. Ashley is passionate about international development, global governance, and gender equity.
