I am a 20-year-old woman born and raised in Quebec City. I am proud to be bilingual in English and French. I attended a French Elementary School and an English Secondary School. I have a learning disability but it does not hold me back from the things I want to do. I am currently studying Social Sciences at CÉGEP St. Lawrence, in Quebec City. I have been on the Dean’s Honour roll every semester. This year, I am the student representative on the Intercultural Committee, and have helped to organize a very successful week of Intercultural activities and planned activities for Black History Month at the CÉGEP. I am a strong advocate of Women’s Rights, Environmental issues, Multiculturalism, Aboriginal rights, and I work hard to defeat the stigma around learning disabilities. While I am unsure of what I want to do in the future I have learned to take advantage of opportunities that come my way so that I can learn more about myself and the world. I have traveled across Canada with my parents more than once and believe that this has helped to foster a love for traveling and meeting new people.
