Catherine Steblaj is a student currently pursuing a Joint Honours in Political Science and Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies at McGill University. Outside of the classroom, Catherine enjoys using her voice to advocate for change. Having participated in a variety of student groups, Catherine enjoys any activity focused on bettering the community as a whole and providing opportunities for problem-solving. This mentality led her to Model United Nations, an activity in which she has participated in for the past six years and won several awards doing. Catherine is hoping to continue with Model United Nations and aims to work with international institutions in the future to help facilitate gender equality, both within Canada and on a global scale. Catherine is an avid feminist who will talk about women’s rights for hours if uninterrupted, which she is looking forward to doing at Daughter’s of the Vote. She is beyond honoured to be representing her riding of Northumberland-Peterborough South and is excited to meet all of the fellow participants.
