Nokuzola Ncube: London-Fanshawe

Nokuzola (Zola) is a Zimbabwean-Canadian who is currently pursuing an Honours Specialization in Health Sciences at Western University. Zola was awarded the Take the Lead scholarship, a $17,000 scholarship for international public speaking on women in leadership. Recently, she was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship to intern with Education for Better Living in Tanzania, an NGO that runs diverse programs for teenage mothers. She’s been involved in initiatives with the Regional HIV/AIDS Connection, Plan International Canada, & the Sexual Assault Centre of London. She earned a Resolution Project Fellowship at the Winter Youth Assembly at the United Nations 2018 for her initiative, Our Brother's Desire: A social venture providing economic opportunity to Zimbabwean youth which is set to launch in 2019. She is passionate about health, education, equity, and global citizenship. In her spare time Zola enjoys reading biographies & southern African history, laughing, and dancing. She aspires to collaborate and disrupt towards a world where every young person has access to what they need to become who they choose.
