Abigail Pender: Kitchener Centre

Abigail is a third year political science student at McGill University. She is involved on campus as an editor for the McGill Journal of Political Studies Print Edition, as a delegate for McGill Model Parliament, the staffing of Model United Nations conferences organized by McGill students, and is a portfolio member and upper year mentor for the Political Science Student Association. She is also involved in the Montreal community as a Junior Peacemaker through the International Relations Student Association at McGill, which aims to foster global awareness in elementary school students around Montreal, and she volunteers as a member of the Mount Royal Constituency Youth Council for Member of Parliament Anthony Housefather. Abigail is passionate about Canadian politics and gender equality. She enjoys discussing issues pertaining to the underrepresentation of women of colour in politics, senate reform, and electoral reform.
