My name is Ashley MacLean and I'm currently studying Psychology in Saint John at the University of New Brunswick. My journey in the world of advocacy is fairly new. This year was the first time that I had felt comfortable in using my voice to advocate for change, but it quickly turned into a newfound passion of mine. This journey started when I became a mental health advocate with Jack.org, which is the largest youth mental health advocacy organization in Canada. This motivated me to get more involved in my community, which led me to apply for DOV2019. I am so honoured to be representing my home town Saint John, New Brunswick. I'm hoping to bring a strong voice to Parliament that will result in solutions, and I can't wait to see what this new opportunity will bring.
