Autumn LaRose-Smith: Saskatoon--University

Autumn is a queer, Métis student who attends Saskatchewan Urban Teachers Education Program (SUNTEP) Saskatoon. She is an active volunteer in her community and sits on the Board for Ness Creek Cultural and Recreational Society (NCCRS). She spends most of her time (when not at work or in school) volunteering for community fundraisers, and student groups on campus such as Student Teachers Anti Racism Society (S.T.A.R.S), International Women’s Movement, 5 Days for the Homeless, and Vice President of SUNTEP Student Council . She is an Emergency Receiving Home Worker and is dedicated to providing trauma informed care and education. Autumn aims to be a role model for the Métis youth in her community and enjoys hosting cultural events with her student group and volunteering for her Métis local #165 which she is a part of. When Autumn is not involved with her community she enjoys woodworking, Making Bolo Ties, and playing board games with her family.
