My name is Megan Metz, my traditional name is Gundox and I hail from the Haisla Nation in Kitamaat Village, C'imoca. I am 20 years old and currently attending Okanagan College studying Anthropology. I am an advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, being one of the founding members of the Youth Leading Youth Advisory Committee for Life Promotion driven by First Nations Health Authority and Fraser Health. A lot of the work I do is rooted in our culture, language, and traditions because I believe that these things will help us heal as a people. Ahnahjuxh.
