Jess is a recent graduate of Ryerson University where she pursued her B.Sc in Biology. As a student, she was elected to the university’s Board of Governors and completed her undergraduate thesis in science literacy and experiential learning models. She is a passion advocate for citizen science and responsible community engagement. She leads the Makerspace Compost Kits for Microbe Hub; a Canadian social enterprise that uses worm composting to reduce a community’s carbon footprint and provides curricula for the science of food waste.
She currently works at the Ryerson’s Office of Social Innovation in student engagement.
