I support Daughters of the Vote because it shows that there are women who are interested in politics. There are women who will not abide by the stereotype that they are to sit idly by and watch the men make all the decisions. Almost half the population is severely underrepresented in all forms of parliament. As almost half the population, our voices should be heard as well. Daughters of the Vote encourages women to run for office if that's what they want, it celebrates the few women who are in office, and it raises awareness about the under-representation that exists in parliamentary offices.
