Yukon Daughters of the Vote: Youth for Lateral Kindness
Two of the young women who attended the Yukon Daughters of the Vote event are the faces behind Youth for Lateral Kindness.
A business based in Whitehorse, Youth for Lateral Kindness is run by young Indigenous women and is dedicated to reconciliation and healthy communities. They run blanket exercises, facilitate lateral kindness workshops with otherIndigenous youth, and offer motivation speaking. Check out their work here.
Co-founder Teagyn Vallevand as well as facilitator Stormy Bradley joined 8 other young women to meet with elected women at the Yukon Legislative Assembly as part of the Daughters of the Vote and the Commonweath Women Parliamentarians outreach program. On the second day of the program, Teagyn and Stormy facilitated a blanket exercise with the participants, including Equal Voice staff and women from across the country.
