Lubna Alli: Ajax

Lubna is a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto pursuing a double major in City Planning and Public Policy. She has lived in Siena, Italy; Brno, Czech Republic; and, Seville, Spain studying cross-cultural leadership and strategy, and has also been granted a $2,000 research fellowship with the School of Cities, where her research is focused on urban indigeneity and indigenous and racialized communities. In addition to this, her research also focuses on transportation planning, having been the Transit Co-Team-Lead for the Ajax Constituency Youth Council, under the supervision of MP Mark Holland. Lubna is a change maker, a freedom fighter and a force to be reckoned. She is excited about this opportunity where she can continue to use her research in racialized communities to bring a unique perspective to the discussion in regard to city planning and policy making.
