Madeleine Harris is a second-year student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver studying Political Science. Raised in the Rocky Mountain town of Canmore, Alberta, Madeleine has a passion for our environment and all that dwell within it. Her passions also include bringing awareness and light to social injustices, such as equal gender representation & indigenous rights and freedoms. Madeleine focuses on speaking out against inequality in all forms, encouraging conversations of feminism, ethnic, racial & social inequality and believes strongly in the intersectional approach when doing so. Having spent her youth working with children & adults of all ages and range of needs through sport & education programs, including women & girls in Kabala, Sierra Leone, Madeleine has always had a compassionate eye for minorities and felt a deep desire to help wherever help is needed. As well as being a member of the UBC Pre Law Society, Madeleine has a long-term goal of making legal fees more accessible for women & minorities with less accessibility.
