Mithila Jeganathan: Brampton South

Mithila is currently pursuing a Honours Biology degree at Ryerson University. She is passionate about advocating for marginalized individuals (LGBTQ2S+, Racialized Minorities, women, people with disabilities) in STEM. She wishes to promote women’s rights and empowerment. She has been an active member of Plan International Canada’s Because I am a Girl Speakers Bureau and Amnesty International Canada. She aspires to reduce sexual violence on University campuses and to promote mental health awareness. She is immensely passionate about Indigenous issues, decolonization, and the environment. She currently serves as the Accessibility & Mental Health Executive of Science+ organization at Ryerson, and serves as an Event Coordinator for STEM conferences. Mithila aspires to pursue a career in healthcare while simultaneously aiming to create a dynamic and positive change to society.
