Janelle Hinds: Mississauga Centre

Janelle is a Biomedical and Electrical Engineering graduate from McMaster University, Janelle promotes and encourages women and other minorities to get into STEM related fields. She founded deltaHacks, the first student run hackathon for social innovation, and HackItMac, a collaborative technology community.

She is currently leading the development of a platform to encourage youth civic and community engagement. Janelle currently works at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health developing novel tools to promote help seeking behaviour in at risk youth.
