Equal Voice Canada Receives More Than 1500 Applications for Historic “Daughters of the Vote” Initiative
In just under ten weeks, Equal Voice received 1,525 applications from young women eager to participate in Daughters of the Vote, a unique initiative to mark 100 years of women’s formal political engagement in Canada, as well as celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
Ottawa – Young women across Canada are being called on to become “Daughters of the Vote” with a new video released by Equal Voice. Daughters of the Vote is an innovative program designed to engage young Canadian women, aged 18 – 23, in politics. The deadline for application is June 30th. The video is being launched at a special event on Parliament Hill on Wednesday.
