A first generation Southern Sudanese Canadian living in Airdrie, Nyagua is a strong advocate for women's rights and mass atrocity prevention. She is a Plan Canada Youth Ambassador and speaker. Noting the heightened vulnerability and systemic disadvantage of young girls and women globally, Nyagua works to encourage equality in every setting and challenges inequality as often as possible.
She aims to pursue a degree in biochemistry and political science. As a delegate at the United Nations Youth Assembly in New York, Nyagua focused on female participation in STEM fields and the fifth sustainable development goal; gender equality.
