Rae Anne is a third year student at Douglas College, studying Aboriginal Child and Youth Care Counseling, with a minor in Aboriginal Anthology. She is also a full-time youth worker with the Urban Native Youth Association. Rae Anne is passionate about culture as therapy, studying the relationship between the land and the people, and working with youth who are at risk in her community.
In the future, Rae-Anne would like to live on different reserves as a guest to study the communities’ language, protocols and ecological knowledge. She also hopes to be be a youth care worker and counselor for the communities she lives in.
