Safia Hirsi currently is completing her undergraduate studies in Public Administration at York University. Her previous experiences include working in various orders of government including: as a Policy Analyst and Policy Advisor in the Ontario government, volunteering with her local MP as a member of their Youth Council, and by conducting a program evaluation in the Municipality of Vaughan as well as working as a Councillor's Aide in City of Toronto. Additionally she has used her talents professionally to better the lives of young refugees in Canada as a Youth Peer Leader at Family Service Toronto and as a Junior Consultant with Sojourn House. Safia has a vested interested in public policy and issues of peace, poverty, development and inequality. She believes that stronger and healthier individuals and communities can be created through building bridges – by connecting people to opportunities through meaningful engagement.
