Samantha is a recent graduate from Queen´s Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (B.Ed) specializing in Indigenous Education. She previously completed her B.Sc in Biology with an Indigenous Studies minor at Laurentian University. As a proud Anishinaabekwe she cares passionately about Indigenous issues including: Indigenous education, water rights, cultural and language revitalization. She works with Free the Children to improve the lives of women internationally, and improve her local community.
Recently, she worked with Teach for Canada to recruit, train, and support teachers working in Northern Ontario First Nations communities to improve the education Indigenous children in Ontario receive.
